Well, I guess this is where we get to put all our fantasy casts. So...

Dragon Ball Kai is a revised version of the anime series Dragon Ball Z produced in commemoration of the original's twentieth anniversary. Goku is back, now married and has a son, Gohan, but just when things were calm and settled a new threat comes which creates adventures and uncover the truth about Goku's origins as a Saiyan, a near to extinct race. Facing enemies far more powerful then before Goku needs to train harder and reach limits he never even dreamed of since what is at stake is the World itself.

Son Goku
Masako-kun[/i]
In a lot of ways, Masako-kun captures Goku's playful spirit more than any of the official voice actors. His performance can be seen in Team Four Star's Dragon Ball Z Abridged and he's done the role so well, even though it's a parody series. Though, he has done some more serious fandubs, and he can really pull it off. And personally, I think he's the definitive Goku.
![](http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/dragonball/images/thumb/9/94/Gohan_forms.jpeg/800px-Gohan_forms.jpeg)
Son Gohan
Kage-Ichihashi (kid) and Sketch (Teen/Great Saiyaman)[/i]
This one's suggested by Sketch (Thanks!). Listening to her work in the past, I agree with it. Kage's young male voices are great, and not to mention age-appropriate. She can shift her voice as Gohan grows through the series. With that, she'd make a fantastic Gohan. Reaching into his teen years, Sketch gets it. His voice is appropriate at that point in Gohan's life and plus he's got the energy to pull off Great Saiyaman.
![](http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/dragonball/images/thumb/1/10/PiccoloImage.jpeg/250px-PiccoloImage.jpeg)
Piccolo
Molty Fool[/i]
Maybe I took Piccolo to a different direction from Chris Sabat's version (as much as I like it), I think Molty Fool's medium-low or even medium voices could fit. But, unlike Sabat and McNeil, this take's probably a little more smoother than them, making him sound a little more calculating. I think he'd pull of his ruthless loner pretty well.
![](http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/dragonball/images/a/a9/Vegeta.png)
Vegeta
hyperknees91[/i]
Once again, like Piccolo, I went a different direction from Chris Sabat. I picked hyperkees91 because he has this royal quality to his voice. I think he can pull off something this haughty prince and make it his own.
![](http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/dragonball/images/0/0d/Krillinhappy1.jpg)
Krillin
Majinboo0111[/i]
Majinboo0111 would be a great Krillin, too. I think he played him before. I think he can portray his resourceful, underdog personality. (Added note...I think I casted him as Usopp for the same reason...Sonny Strait in disguise?)
![](http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/dragonball/images/8/82/Bulma022.jpg)
Bulma
mippa[/i]
Hearing her Nami in Kage's One Piece radioplay, I think her voice would fit Bulma. She definitely has the energy to pull her off
![](http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/dragonball/images/thumb/6/6a/CELS500-1.jpg/200px-CELS500-1.jpg)
Trunks
CountAbyss[/i]
As much as I really want to selfcast myself as Trunks, I think CountAbyss is a better choice. He's got a youthful voice, and his emotional range is much wider to pull off Trunks' more dramatic moments.
![](http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/dragonball/images/thumb/2/2a/MasterRoshiAndTurtleDB.png/250px-MasterRoshiAndTurtleDB.png)
Master Roshi
VoiceActingNinja[/i]
VoiceActingNinja would be a great Roshi. I think he could portray his wacky, (pervy) side, while reminding you that he's a martial arts master.
![](http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/dragonball/images/thumb/c/c3/MrSatanHCellGS.png/250px-MrSatanHCellGS.png)
Mr. Satan
Vincent_The_Paladin[/i]
Who better to play Mr. Satan than Vincent_the_Paladin? He's got a gruff voice, and can get pretty darn loud. I'm sure he'll do him justice.
![](http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/dragonball/images/thumb/4/42/VidelGSMS.png/250px-VidelGSMS.png)
Videl
LittleStar[/i]
I was gonna pick Kage as Videl, but knowing that this character marries Gohan later would feel...kind of awkward.
; So I went with LittleStar. All I've heard of her was in Actorman's Sgt. Frog, but I think she'd do a good job.
![](http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/dragonball/images/thumb/c/c8/YamchaCellSagaT.png/250px-YamchaCellSagaT.png)
Yamcha
Actorman[/i]
Well, he did it before in Koichi_Saito's DBZ clip, and from what I remember I think he did a good job. Even if I didn't see it, I'd still probably pick him.
![](http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/dragonball/images/thumb/7/7f/Tienshinan.articlepic.2009.jpg/250px-Tienshinan.articlepic.2009.jpg)
Tien Shinhan
Gan Xingba[/i]
The more dramatic moments in DBZ Abridged pretty much proved Gan Xingba is fit for the role, in either parody or something serious.
![](http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/dragonball/images/thumb/c/c2/Chiaotzu23WMAT.png/250px-Chiaotzu23WMAT.png)
Chaotzu
Bree[/i]
Her Tamama pretty much convinced me of this one. Bree's voice for Tamama had that certain ambiguity of his gender, and Chaotzu's voice is normally known for that (or at least to my knowledge).
![](http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/dragonball/images/thumb/7/7c/Gotenjump.jpg/250px-Gotenjump.jpg)
Goten
Shudo-Ranamaru[/i]
I sort of wanted a different voice to take on Goten, so I'd thought Shudo would work well. Much like Kage, she's pretty good with boy voices, and she could pull off Goten's energetic personality really well.
![](http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/dragonball/images/thumb/c/c5/KingKai.png/250px-KingKai.png)
King Kai
Shift[/i]
For King Kai, I was looking for someone that has a deep voice (or at least can do a deep voice) that reminds you that he is a deity and one with authority at that, but still has that light-heartedness to his voice. Shift's King Kai was exactly that (and I'm definitely happy I picked him for King Kai for my fandub)
![](http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/dragonball/images/thumb/6/68/FreizaFTNamek.png/300px-FreizaFTNamek.png)
Freeza
Pgrits/Little_Kuriboh[/i]
I can never understand why FUNimation and Ocean gave Freeza the voice they gave him. When I first heard Pgrits' Freeza, he gave a more menacing, regal interpretation, which I thought fit quite nicely (search it up in Youtube). Now, with Little_Kuriboh in DBZ Abridged, he sort of gave Freeza a childish, effeminate tone but the message that he was a ruler still got out. It'd be interesting for him to play Freeza in a more serious dub.
![](http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/dragonball/images/thumb/a/ad/Dbz-cell-06.jpg/250px-Dbz-cell-06.jpg)
Cell
Sarifus[/i]
For Cell, I needed someone who could change personalities as much as Cell changes shape, but still maintain that air of sophistacatedness (At first, Cell is more sneaky, cautious, and single-minded. Then, he as he grows he gains personality traits from the other fighters, such as Freeza's concietedness, Vegeta's arrogance, etc.). I think Sarifus can pull it off quite nicely.
![](http://www.dragonball-z.es/wp-content/majin-boo.jpg)
Buu
Koichi_Saito[/i]
I think his range is expansive enough for him to portray all forms of Buu (even Uub). His more higher voice for the more childish Boo, and he can give a more sinister take on the character's more evil forms.
Reasons and more characters coming soon (unless someone else wants to do the rest).
